Privacy Policy

deckpro.studio (“deckpro,” “we,” “us”) provides software for deck and dock builders, including homeowner 3D deck and dock designers that contractors share from their own branded link. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

When you design a deck or dock through a contractor’s link and request an estimate, we pass your design and contact details to that contractor, who then handles your inquiry directly. For that inquiry, the contractor is the business responsible for following up with you.

Homeowners using a designer link: the name, email, phone, project address and ZIP you provide, plus the deck or dock design and any notes you submit.

Visitors who download a plan from a free 3D deck or dock designer: the email address you give and the design you drew. With them we record a one-way hash of your IP address and your browser’s user agent, which we use to prevent abuse. We keep this ourselves; it is not passed to a contractor.

When you download a plan from deckpro.studio’s own designers, you get a private link to the design that you can send to a builder. Anyone who has the link can see the design and its plan sheet, but never your email address. If you ask us to introduce you to a builder or a supplier, we keep the ZIP code you give us, and we share your design, its plan sheet and your email address with the one business we introduce you to. We don’t email you unless you ask. Ask us to delete the design and the link stops working.

Contractors with an account: name, company, email, phone, and billing details (payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store card numbers).

Automatically: basic usage and log data, device/browser information, essential cookies used for sign-in and security, and a first-party anonymous-identifier cookie (a random ID kept up to one year) that we use to count visits; it is never joined to your name or contact details.

Property photos and renders: contractors can add photos of a customer’s property (for example, the house or shoreline where the deck or dock would go) to a project, and make photo-real renders of the proposed build from them. Before a photo is stored we remove the camera information embedded in the file, including its GPS location.

To deliver your design and contact details to the contractor whose link you used; to produce the plan you download from a free designer and, if you ask us to, introduce you to a builder or a supplier; to operate, secure, and improve the service; to process billing for contractor accounts; and to provide support and respond to you.

With the contractor whose branded link you used. With the one builder or supplier you ask us to introduce you to, and only when you ask. With service providers that run the platform under contract — hosting and edge security (Vercel, Cloudflare), database (Neon), email and SMS delivery, and payments (Stripe). And where required by law.

Property photos and renders are stored with Vercel Blob. To make a render, the photo is sent to an image-generation service (Replicate). If that service can’t be reached, the photo of a deck project may instead be sent to an image-analysis service (Anthropic) to suggest a style. We send the photo to a provider only to produce that result; each keeps it under its own data-retention terms.

We do not sell your personal information.

Traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS), and access is restricted to what’s needed to run the service. We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it.

Property photos and renders are stored at unlisted web addresses: anyone who has a file’s address can open it, which is how the app and the contractor’s proposal show it. We keep them while the contractor’s account is active. Deleting a project in the app hides its photos and renders but does not yet erase them; to have them erased, email us at the address below and we will delete them.

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information at any time. If you submitted a design to a contractor, you can also contact that contractor directly about their copy of your inquiry.
